Project Overview
The client was operating across multiple platforms including Snowflake, AWS Oracle RDS, and various API-based data sources. Managing these diverse systems posed challenges in scalability, performance, and cost efficiency. Our goal was to migrate the entire ecosystem to a Microsoft Fabric-based data platform, enabling seamless data integration, advanced analytics, and enterprise-wide reporting.
Solution Delivered
- Migration from Snowflake to Microsoft Fabric: We performed a smooth and secure transition of the client’s existing Snowflake workloads into Fabric’s Lakehouse and Warehouse environment, ensuring minimal downtime and zero data loss.
- Integration with Heterogeneous Sources: Using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and custom API connectors, we ingested data from AWS Oracle RDS, third-party SaaS applications, and API-based systems into Fabric.
- Data Warehousing & Lakehouse Architecture: A medallion architecture (Bronze–Silver–Gold) was designed within Fabric to ensure a metadata-driven, scalable, and easily maintainable structure.
- Automation & Governance: Leveraging Azure Key Vault, parameterized pipelines, and Fabric orchestration, we implemented end-to-end automation, ensuring secure credential management and full auditability.
- Advanced Analytics with Power BI: Business reporting was modernized with Power BI, providing intuitive dashboards, role-based security, and self-service analytics for decision-makers.
